The maze is formed by the interweaving of natural reed beds and artificially excavated waterways. The total length of the main channel is 15 kilometers, including 34 branch waterways. The widest part is 7 meters and the narrowest part is 2.1 meters. The average water depth of the waterway is 1.5 meters, and the bottom is silty soil. The direction of the waterway is distinguished by red and blue buoys, and a total of 12 emergency docking points are set up. In the central area, there is an 8-meter-high bird-watching platform equipped with 6 paid telescopes.

High-density reed beds form a green barrier, with a height generally exceeding 3 meters. The reed leaves are bright green in summer and turn golden yellow in autumn, creating distinct landscapes in different seasons. The width of the waterway varies significantly. In some areas, only a single boat can pass through, and the reeds on both sides are almost within reach. When sunlight penetrates the crevices of the reeds, the water surface creates a golden, fragmented light and shadow effect.

The local fishermen have used the reeds to shelter from the wind and waves since ancient times. To this day, there is still a legend circulating in the county Chronicles of the Ming Dynasty that a peasant rebel army was hiding here.

The scenic area prunes the reeds every March and clears the silt in the waterways once every quarter to ensure that the maze is presented to tourists in its best condition. This place is not only a great spot for leisure, entertainment and family outings, but also a great place to satisfy exploration and curiosity. Imagine what a different maze experience it would be to explore the water world by boat!
