The Pete Maze is located in Khanong Phra Village, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. It is a well-known hedge maze attraction in central Thailand. This maze covers an area of approximately 2,000 square meters. It is composed of neatly trimmed trees forming a green wall as high as 2 meters, creating a tortuous path with a total length of about 3.5 kilometers. The design of the maze is mainly based on geometric lines, combined with interesting levels and hidden surprises. Tourists need to find the exit through observation and exploration, which usually takes about one hour.

Inside the maze, there are three wooden viewing platforms. Visitors can climb up to overlook the entire hedge layout and observe the walking routes of other visitors, adding interactive fun. Along the way, there are cartoon sculptures, Alice in Wonderland themed decorations, and fun questions and answers marked in Thai and English, making the exploration process full of surprises. For example, models of poker card soldiers or the Queen of Hearts might appear at the corner, stimulating the curiosity of tourists.

Pete Maze was built in recent years. It was originally planted with Leyland cypress trees, but the severe cold in 1983 caused a large number of trees to die. Later, it was rebuilt with more cold-resistant beech trees. Today, the garden area where the maze is located still retains traditional Thai pavilions and tropical plants, which together with the maze form a leisure space that combines nature and culture.

The maze is open all year round, from 9:00 to 18:00 every day, and the ticket price is 150 Thai baht. Tourists can experience this “green maze” along the way after visiting Khao Yai National Park or the surrounding farms. The nearby Farm Chokchai offers experiences of animal feeding and dairy product making, while the Hobbit House recreates the movie scenes and is suitable for family tourists to arrange a one-day itinerary.
