Landscape Painting Plant Maze is located at Longmu Villa in Changping District, Beijing, on the north bank of the Ming Tombs Reservoir. It is the first large outdoor plant maze in Changping.
The maze covers an area of about 36 mu and is built with 28,460 trees, mainly cypresses, paired with plants like roses and wild roses. Walking inside, you can see landscapes formed by different plant combinations. There is a square in the middle of the maze, planted with Perennial Coreopsis, where you can rest when tired.
The maze is divided into several small areas. There are sandpits suitable for children to play in and open spaces for simple games. There are signposts along the way, so you won’t get completely lost.
The overall layout of Longmu Villa focuses on leisure. In addition to the maze, it also has projects such as RV camping, catering, accommodation, barbecuing, fishing, boating and fruit picking. The catering area offers farm-style delicacies like reservoir fish and wild vegetable stuffed buns. For accommodation, you can choose RV camping or homestays cooperating with surrounding villages, and some homestays retain the cave – dwelling style.
In terms of transportation, you can drive via the Shahe Exit of the Jingzang Expressway and drive along Shayang Road. By bus, you can take Changping Bus Line 51 to Xiaodongliu Station. In the villa, roads for vehicles and pedestrians are separated. The main roads connect various areas, small roads lead to scenic spots, and there are special cycling paths.
Longmu Villa is open all year round. The ticket is 30 yuan per person, and there may be discounts for children. The best visiting seasons are spring and autumn. In spring, you can enjoy the surrounding sea of flowers; in autumn, you can experience apple picking and red leaf landscapes. It is better to wear comfortable shoes when visiting, as you will walk in the maze for a while.
