The Tai Chi Eight Trigram Maze in Jiangxi

In Longxiwan Ecological Park, Nanfeng County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi there is a unique attraction – the Tai Chi Eight Trigram Maze. It is shaped like the ancient Tai Chi Eight Trigrams, attracting many tourists to come and challenge it.

This maze covers a large area. It mainly uses black and white as the main colors to simulate the Yin-Yang fish shape of the Tai Chi Eight Trigrams. The black part is made of dark vegetation, and the white part is paved with sand, gravel or light-colored flowers and plants. From a high altitude, the Tai Chi Eight Trigram pattern is clearly visible, which is very spectacular.

The layout of the maze follows the principle of the Eight Trigrams. Each of the eight directions of the Eight Trigrams has a passage. When entering the maze, the passages are winding, sometimes wide and sometimes narrow. Beside the passages, the green plants are dense, as tall as a person, cleverly separating the various passages. As you walk, it is easy to get lost and lose your sense of direction.

Playing in the maze is full of fun and challenges. At first, you may be full of confidence and stride forward. But after walking for a short time, you find that the road ahead is blocked by green plants and have to turn back. Sometimes, you clearly see an exit not far away, but when you walk along the passage, you find yourself back again. As you walk, you will encounter forks. Different choices will take you in different directions. If you choose correctly, you will be one step closer to the exit; if you choose wrong, you may get stuck in a loop and have to find your way again.

There are also some small surprises in the maze. In hidden corners, there may be benches for you to rest when you are tired. In some places, there are signposts to provide clues for tourists who have lost their way. When you finally find the exit after going through twists and turns, a sense of accomplishment arises spontaneously. Whether it is exploring with family or competing with friends, the Tai Chi Eight Trigram Maze can bring a unique playing experience. It is an interesting project that should not be missed in Longxiwan Ecological Park.
