Yuanxiang Town, located in Zhaocun, Miaoxi Town, Wuxing District, 12 kilometers west of Huzhou’s city center, is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
The town is laid out according to the “one hall, two gardens and five zones”. It has Asia’s largest butterfly ecological science museum, which integrates butterfly breeding, viewing, releasing and science education. It also has a thousand-mu plum blossom garden. Along the mountain, there is a 4.2-kilometer-long sightseeing plank road made of original sleepers, with 12 plum-viewing pavilions. In addition, characteristic landscapes such as Yuanxiang Lake, Children’s Garden and Jiyuan Flower Field are both participatory, experiential and cultural. Supporting amusement projects like the high-altitude glass bridge, 360-degree circular glass drift and extreme grass sliding allow visitors to enjoy their time to the fullest.
In the Children’s Fun Garden of Yuanxiang Town, there is a particularly interesting place – the plant maze. It is a neatly pruned hedge maze, made up of high hedges. These hedges are pruned very neatly, like rows of green walls.
Walking into the plant maze is like entering a mysterious world. Curved paths stretch between the hedges, making people unsure of which direction to go. Sometimes, you think the exit is ahead, but when you walk over, you find a hedge wall and have to look for a way out again. Moving through the maze, you need to observe carefully and think hard to find the right route.
For children, the plant maze is a place full of challenges and fun. They can run and explore freely, feeling the excitement and joy of finding the exit. For adults, it is also a good place to relax, as if returning to childhood and enjoying that pure happiness.
