The main High Country Maze spans 40 meters by 40 meters, with four corners and a central spot to find as you wander . What makes it special? Along the way, you’ll spot pixie faces peeking from the hedge walls, adding a fairy-tale touch to your journey .
The most loved part of High Country Maze is the famous gnome hunt . Kids and adults alike go crazy for this challenge: finding all the hidden gnomes in the maze. Some are really good at hiding, so you’ll need sharp eyes to spot them all . But the fun doesn’t stop there – the grounds have giant checkers, bocce, and even a labyrinth nearby, making every visit packed with joy .
High Country Maze isn’t just a day out – it’s part of six acres of award-winning gardens . The gardens won “The Silver Trowel” and were finalists for ABC Gardening Australia’s Gardeners of the Year in 2013 . When can you visit? High Country Maze opens 10 am to 5 pm every weekend from mid-September to Queen’s Birthday weekend . It’s also open daily during long weekends and Victorian school holidays (except July) . Just note it’s not wheelchair accessible, but strollers are welcome .
