Amaze World in Australia is a fun and challenging attraction on the Sunshine Coast. It is located at 274 Tanawha Tourist Drive in Tanawha. It takes about an hour and a half to drive there from Brisbane Airport and about 40 minutes from Noosa.
There are two unique mazes in the park. The Bellingham Hedge Maze is a hedge maze made of over 1,000 purple-leaf plum trees. It is a large star shape, 80×80 meters. When you walk into it, it feels like you are in a green mysterious world. Tall hedges surround you, and the winding paths are complicated, making it hard to tell directions. During the exploration, you need to focus and look carefully for the way out. Sometimes, it seems there is no path ahead, but then a new way appears. Sometimes, you feel the exit is nearby, but hedges block you. Climb the central wooden tower, and you can overlook part of the maze’s layout. It gives some clues for finding the exit, but you still need to think and explore to get out smoothly. The whole process is expected to take 30 minutes to an hour.
The other one is the Timber Maze, which is very different from the hedge maze. There are no lush hedges here. Instead, there are endless wooden walls. These walls look similar, layer upon layer, like a huge wooden matrix, leading you deeper step by step. In this maze, the wooden walls around you keep confusing your eyes, making it easy to get lost. However, it is this simple and direct layout that brings a pure maze challenge experience. Compared to the Bellingham Hedge Maze, the Timber Maze takes a shorter time to play, about 10-15 minutes, but the fun and challenge are just as much. After getting out of the maze, you can also climb the observation tower to overlook the entire layout of the maze and feel the joy of success.
