Caoxihe Rose Maze is located in Caoxihe Rose Health Care Park, Xiaoyi City, Shanxi Province, China. Its layout follows the terrain and is divided into different areas according to functional needs, making it easy to navigate.
When entering the park, you first see the Visitor Service Center. Here, you can buy tickets, get maps, and there is a parking lot at the entrance for those driving here.
Heading north from the entrance, there are two main areas. Area A is larger, covering about 285 mu. It contains the 12 Constellations Theme Gardens, each designed in the style of a constellation and planted with roses of different colors. Next to it is a large lawn where outdoor weddings can be held. There is also a special area for viewing roses, with various varieties available. If you like camping, Area A has a camping base where you can rent tents or have a barbecue, which is great for families to stay. To the north of Area A, there is a fitness trail that leads to the surrounding mountains, suitable for walking or cycling.
Further along is Area B, covering about 235 mu. The most prominent feature here is the large rose maze mentioned earlier. Near the maze, there are sandpits for children to play in and areas for outward bound training, where teams can organize small activities. To the west of Area B, there is a Rose Exhibition Hall with pictures and texts introducing rose varieties and related knowledge. To the east is an eco-restaurant, where you can enjoy local dishes such as Xiaoyi fried pork and Caocun tofu.
On the periphery of the park, close to the Caoxi River, there is a 3.2-kilometer water-friendly trail. Walking along this trail, you can reach places like the 12 Constellations Gardens and the camping base. Aquatic plants are planted on both sides of the trail, and there are viewing platforms and fishing spots.
In addition, the park has collaborated with nearby villages such as Yixing Village and Hedi Village to convert old houses in the villages into homestays, some of which retain the cave – dwelling style, providing accommodation for tourists.
Transportation is convenient, with special buses running to the urban area. In the park, roads for vehicles and pedestrians are separated. The main roads connect Area A and Area B, the small roads lead to various scenic spots, and there are special roads for cycling that can reach the mountains and flower seas.
