The Redberry Farm Hedge Maze was planted in 2010 and didn’t open to the public until 2013. It took three years for the trees to grow to an appropriate height to be considered a proper maze.
What makes this maze unique is its objective. Unlike traditional mazes where the goal is to find the exit, here, visitors are tasked with finding all seven strawberry stations hidden within the maze. At each station, they need to stamp their maze card with a unique icon. Only when they present a maze card stamped with all seven unique icons can they claim a reward.
The maze is full of surprises and challenges. There are dead – ends, one – way doors, and a “tunnel of doom” – a dark underground tunnel that adds an element of thrill. It’s not an easy feat to complete the maze. On average, it takes visitors 45 minutes to an hour, and only about 60 – 70% of them manage to find all the stations and collect all the stamps.
