Some time ago, I came to Granties Maze Fun Park located in Foxground near Sydney, Australia. It takes about one and a half hours to drive there from the city center of Sydney. The rural scenery along the way makes people feel relaxed.
It is said that the maze is composed of 2,000 photinias trees, which are planted into a network of paths and hedges and designed as a puzzle. My goal is to solve the puzzle and win the prize (ice cream).
Entering the park, the Granties Maze is the most eye-catching existence. You can see the thick hedges, which are over two meters high, blocking the maze path completely. The maze paths are intricate and the total length exceeds one kilometer. When I first entered, I walked along a seemingly wide road. Not long after, I encountered a dead end and had to turn back to look for a new direction. In the maze, one can often hear the voices of other tourists but never see anyone. This feeling is both interesting and challenging.
Apart from the maze, there are many interesting projects in the park. Facilities such as mini-golf, canoes, paddle boats, remote-controlled boats, archery ranges, giant/small chessboards, hay carts, electric vehicles, trampolines, and horseback riding (slot machines) are all available. Many parents bring their children here to play.
At noon, I bought hot dogs and drinks at the snack stand in the park to satisfy my hunger. When taking a rest under the sunshade, one can see many families enjoying quality time with their children here, with laughter and joy never ceasing. When I left, I also bought a keychain printed with the pattern of Granties Maze at the souvenir shop as a memento of this trip.
The ticket price for Granties Maze Park is moderate, and there are also many coupons available for use. This place is suitable for people of all ages. Whether you want to challenge yourself or simply enjoy the fun of the outdoors, you can find your own happiness here.
