Lacombe Corn Maze | Kraary Family Farm is located in Lacombe, Alberta, Canada. It is about a two-hour drive from Calgary and Edmonton. This maze covers an area of 15 acres (about 6 hectares), with corn reaching a height of 9 feet (about 2.7 meters), forming a winding path with a total length of 4 kilometers. It is one of the most famous outdoor farm scenic spots in Alberta.

The maze is operated by the Kraary family. Since its opening in 1999, it has attracted visitors in different theme designs every year. For example, the theme of 2023 is “Ribbon of Hope”, which calls on the public to pay attention to childhood cancer through the shape of a corn maze and raises funds for the local children’s hospital. Historically, the maze set a Guinness World Record in 2012 with its QR code design, becoming the world’s largest usable QR code. Visitors can scan it from the air to be redirected to the farm’s official website.

The opening hours of the maze are divided into summer and autumn: In summer (mid-July to the end of August), it is open from 10:00 to 21:00 from Monday to Saturday, and closed on Sunday. It is open from 10:00 to 21:00 on Wednesday to Saturday in autumn (September to mid-October), and also on public holidays on Mondays. The ticket price is CAD 19.05 for adults purchasing online (CAD 23.81 on-site). There are discounts for children and the elderly. Families can purchase package tickets. The farm offers adventure day passes that include additional activities such as corn cannons and pumpkin launchers.

There are over 40 entertainment facilities on the farm, including a giant trampoline, mini-golf, a pet zoo, hay carts, pig races, etc. The “Flashlight Maze” open at night requires visitors to bring their own light sources to experience a more challenging exploration in the dark. In addition, the farm offers a picnic area, a cafe and handmade ice cream. Tourists can enjoy their leisure time beside the cornfields.

Recommended nearby scenic spots: Lacombe Golf & Country Club, which is 8 kilometers away from the farm, offers an 18-hole course experience. The Lacombe Blacksmith Shop Museum in the city centre displays farm tools from the pioneering period. The Lacombe Kinsmen Aquatic Centre, 15 kilometers away, is suitable for family water play. Whether it’s a family trip or a team challenge, Lacom Corn Maze has become a popular destination in central Alberta with its rich activities and natural atmosphere
