Wuhu Squirrel Town is a very fun place, located at the intersection of South Changjiang Road and East Eshan Road in Yijiang District, Wuhu City. It is a cross-border themed entertainment complex that combines industry, culture, tourism, and business, and it officially opened to the public in November 2020.
The town covers an area of 247.5 mu and has three main functional areas: the Squirrel Planet Pavilion, the Forest Fantasy Land, and the Squirrel Happy Street. There are many interesting attractions here, such as the 133-meter-high Squirrel Ferris Wheel, which is the tallest spoke-type Ferris wheel in China. Sitting on it offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. There are also various amusement facilities, like the six-loop roller coaster and Sky Flyer, which are the first of their kind in East China.
The maze in the town is particularly interesting. It is located in the center of the Forest Fantasy Land and is a fully plant-enclosed space covering an area of 240 square meters. Although it is not particularly large, it features different types of green plants that display various colors, making it especially beautiful. These plants transform the maze into a colorful world, and when visitors step inside, it feels like entering a mysterious garden. The different colored plants intertwine, creating a dreamlike scene where every step reveals a new surprise. The maze’s path design is also clever, offering the fun of exploration without being too difficult, so both adults and children can enjoy playing inside.
In addition to the maze, other parts of the town are also beautiful. For example, Squirrel Happy Street has many specialty food shops. In the evening, Anhui’s first sky screen street lights up, with light and shadow creating a stunning display, like stepping into a fairy tale world.
