Shanghai Pujiang Country Park is located in Minhang District and is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction. The total area of the park is 15.29 square kilometers, with the first phase covering 5.82 square kilometers. It began trial operation at the end of July 2017. It has five themed areas: the Vitality Forest Area, the Miracle Flower Area, the Liulu Farmland Area, the Forest Recreation Area, and the Riverside Walk Area. These areas incorporate five main themes: “forest, flowers, agriculture, shores, and water”.
The Miracle Flower Area is one of the core scenic spots of the park. There are attractions such as the Flower Elf Castle and the Miracle Flower Carpet here. Inside the Miracle Flower Area, there is a neatly trimmed hedge maze. This maze is made up of shade-tolerant plants and tall hedges. It is formed by two rectangles joined together, creating a complex network of paths. The hedges of the maze are trimmed very neatly and are of moderate height. They do not make people feel that it is difficult to get through, but still bring a certain degree of challenge.
After entering the maze, visitors need to rely on their sense of direction and judgment to find the exit. During this process, they may encounter dead ends or discover some hidden passages. There are also some hint points in the maze to help visitors find their way out better. For children, this is a good place to exercise their sense of direction and thinking ability. They can explore and play in the maze, enjoying the fun of finding the exit. For adults, they can also retrieve childhood memories here and feel the surprise of exploration.
Besides the maze, Pujiang Country Park has many other interesting places. For example, in the Vitality Forest Area, there are facilities like forest sports fields and sports corridors where visitors can exercise. The Liulu Farmland Area allows visitors to experience rural scenery and enjoy views such as sunflower fields. The Riverside Walk Area enables visitors to stroll along the Huangpu River shoreline and enjoy the river views and the surrounding natural scenery. In short, Shanghai Pujiang Country Park is a good place suitable for the whole family to visit together.
