The Huaxiaoyuan Plant Maze is located in Shiping Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing. It is part of the Simianshan Tourism Resort.
The maze is in the Huaxiaoyuan Scenic Area and is one of the core visiting areas. It is heart-shaped, enclosed by colorful plants. The plants vary in height, forming winding paths. Visitors need to walk through these paths to find the way to the core area.
The core area is a “wormhole”. Children can climb and move through it safely. It is suitable for family visits, especially children aged 6 to 16. It takes about 40 to 60 minutes to walk through the entire maze.
The scenic area has other facilities. There is a children’s play area with plastic floors to prevent falls. There is a grass skiing field with extended tracks.
Huaxiaoyuan Scenic Area is about 1,000 meters above sea level. It is not too hot in summer, good for escaping the heat. There are several specialized gardens. Different flowers bloom in different seasons. Cherry blossoms and tulips in spring; hydrangeas and crape myrtles in summer.
The maze is open all day and free to enter. Visitors can go directly. It is easy to reach. After exiting Shiping Toll Station, you can drive or walk there.
Nearby attractions include Wangxiangtai Waterfall and Tudiya. You can visit them together. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. Parents can take children to experience the maze and visit other gardens to learn about different plants. The scenic area has complete facilities, good for a family leisure day.
