In Baita Town, Shahe City, Hebei Province, there is a charming Hongshigou Ecological Leisure Farm. The planned area of this farm is 50,000 mu, and currently, the first phase with an area of 25,000 mu has been officially opened to the public. The overall green vegetation coverage rate is as high as 95%. In Hongshigou Farm, there is a unique “plant maze”. It is composed of more than 7,000 Chinese arborvitae trees and covers an area of over 3,000 square meters.
The maze is round in shape as a whole. When you walk into it, the “walls” formed by the Chinese arborvitae stand tall. More than 7,000 Chinese arborvitae trees are closely arranged, like a natural puzzle for visitors. They stay green all year round, even in the cold winter, providing a good place for visitors to play.
The route of the maze is about 1,500 meters long, winding and tortuous. The route is cleverly designed with many forks and dead ends. When visitors walk into the maze, they often face multiple choices. They may just feel that they have found the exit, but find that the road ahead is a dead end and have to turn back to find a new path.
Many visitors come here to challenge their sense of direction. Some enter alone, constantly thinking and exploring in the maze, trying to get out by their own ability; some come with family and friends, and everyone discusses the route loudly, enjoying the fun of exploration together. When they finally find the exit, a sense of accomplishment arises spontaneously.
This plant maze not only brings happiness to visitors but also adds unique charm to Hongshigou Ecological Leisure Farm, attracting many visitors to come and experience it.
After experiencing the maze, visitors can also enjoy flowers. There is a 500-mu flower viewing area in the farm. From peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, and cherry blossoms in spring to dahlias, cosmos, etc. in autumn, flowers bloom all year round, and the sides of the scenic tour roads are full of flowers.
In the fruit picking area, which covers 1,500 mu, it is divided into greenhouse picking area and garden picking area. There are more than 20 varieties such as strawberries, grapes, sweet peaches, and walnuts for picking. From spring to autumn, the fragrance of fruits lingers.
There is also the Magpie Kingdom Unpowered Park in the farm, which covers 100 mu. It is the first all-age outdoor parent-child park integrating ecology, entertainment, and education in Xingtai area.
There are also leisure resorts, gourmet restaurants, and the sports experience area has a standard motorcycle training and competition venue to meet the needs of sports enthusiasts.
