Beneath Wanping Xiaoyue Mountain Park, there hides an interesting plant maze. This park was originally transformed from a waste dump piled up with construction waste.
In the past, during spring and autumn, the waste dump was filled with flying dust, so nearby residents dared not open their windows. In summer and winter, the waste dump had the risks of landslides and fires, becoming a “worry” for the surrounding residents. Now, through careful planning, this park has become a good place for residents to relax and entertain. There are multiple areas in the park, such as a fountain entertainment area, a mountain-climbing leisure area, and a sports and fitness area. When you climb to the top of the mountain, which is 12 meters high, you can see curvy lines like a “Milky Way”, with moon-and-star-shaped seats and star-shaped tree pools scattered among them, creating a very romantic scene.
The newly added plant maze covers an area of about 1,300 square meters. It uses tall boxwood as dividers, and the height of the boxwood is over 1.8 meters, forming natural “walls”. These boxwoods divide the maze cleverly. When people are in it, they seem to enter a mysterious world and need to carefully distinguish directions to find the exit.
The plant maze is located at the foot of the mountain in the park. It was designed and built by the Wanpingcheng area based on public opinions and the terrain. Its appearance has added a lot of fun to residents’ lives. Both adults and children like to enjoy the joy of exploration here.
