In Dubai Parks and Resorts, there is an extremely interesting attraction – The Wonder Maze. It is the first mobile maze in the Middle East, located in the popular Riverland Park, covering an area of approximately 30,000 square feet and featuring nearly 3,000 meters of passageways. It is the largest mobile maze in the world.
This maze is very special. It consists of over 1,000 movable walls, which change positions every day under the control of a computer. So, every time you come to play, the route in the maze is different. Even if you have walked through it before, you still have to explore it again this time. The wall is about two meters high. It can block the view and create a mysterious atmosphere without making people feel depressed.
Before entering the maze, the staff will give you a map, but this map only shows part of the route. To find the exit, you still have to keep trying by yourself. There are levels of different difficulties in the maze. The easy levels have obvious marked guidance, while for the more difficult levels, one has to carefully observe the clues on the wall. When you get tired from walking, there is a rest area in the maze where you can sit down and have a rest. If you really can’t find your way, climb up to the 5-meter-high viewing platform, where you can overlook part of the maze layout and help you find your direction. Usually, it takes tourists about 45 to 50 minutes to walk through the maze.
