Next comes planting the corn maze. In early May, corn is planted both north-south and east-west to create a dense, lush stand. When the corn reaches 10 inches tall, trails are tilled using a small tractor guided by GPS—precision is key to bringing the design to life. The three wooden bridges are carefully placed with a large forklift, and steps and braces are bolted on for safety. Posts for checkpoints, quiz trails, and kid-friendly paths are then drilled into place. In July, the trails are tilled again to clean them up, ensuring they’re ready for visitors when the corn maze opens.
