A big surprise is coming to Andalucia this February. Laberintus Park, Spain’s largest hedge maze, will open its doors on 22 February 2025. It sits in Humilladero, a town in Malaga province, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards . Just thinking about walking through its paths makes people excited.
This maze is not just big—it’s huge. It covers more than 7,400 square metres (that’s over 4 hectares). The walkway inside stretches almost 8,000 metres . Adrian Fischer, a world-famous maze designer, created it. He took ideas from the Alhambra’s gardens in Granada, so the design feels special and full of history .
What makes it even more amazing? It’s the world’s first biotechnological maze. The park has special machines called bioreactors. They get energy and water straight from the soil . The plants here work like “biological antennae”. They can feel changes when people touch them . It’s a perfect mix of nature and technology.
There’s something for everyone here. The maze has different difficulty levels. If you want a quick fun, the easiest route takes about 30 minutes. But if you love challenges, the hardest one can take up to two hours . Every corner has little surprises. You’ll test your problem-solving skills while enjoying the green around you .
Tickets are easy to buy online. Kids aged 6-12 pay €6, adults €8. Children under 6 and seniors over 75 get in for free. Families and groups can get discounts too . During the first two weeks (22 Feb – 2 March), it’s open from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm .
