Yunmeng Maze in Yiyang, Hunan, is located in the Seven-Color Flower Island Scenic Area of Yunmeng Ark International Resort. It stands between the Wisteria Bridge and the Dutch Windmill, with verbena and tulip fields around.

The maze is heart-shaped. Its overall outline is like a heart, and the paths curve along the outline. The paths are separated by hedges, which are not high, about 1 meter. Inside the maze, four small heart-shaped hedges are distributed longitudinally, symbolizing love.

The maze paths are a bit winding with many forks. You need to pay more attention to directions while walking. There is a small wooden sign every section, with arrows drawn on it. There is a small open space in the center, where you can stand to see the whole maze.

Many people say that walking through this maze can bring good luck. Couples often come here on weekends, and parents also bring their children. The hedges are not high, so adults can see where their children are.

Besides the maze, there are other attractions in the scenic area. There are Hobbit Huts nearby, where you can take photos. To the south is the Tang Cherry Garden, with beautiful cherry blossoms in spring.
For meals, you can go to the Dongting Lake Wetland Experience Hall. It sells Yiyang spicy hotpot, wormwood cakes and other foods. There is also a canteen where you can buy water and snacks.

You can drive here. It takes about 20 minutes from Yiyang urban area. The parking lot is at the entrance of the scenic area, costing 10 yuan a day. You can also take a bus to Yunmeng Ark Station and walk for 10 minutes after getting off.
The maze opens with the scenic area from 11:00 to 17:30. The ticket is included in the scenic area’s all-in-one ticket. The price of the all-in-one ticket is subject to the on-site notice of the scenic area. Children under 1.2 meters are free of charge.

April to May and September to October are good times to visit. During these periods, the surrounding flowers are in full bloom, and the maze is very noticeable in the heart-shaped flower field. It is recommended to wear flat shoes, as you need to walk in the maze for more than an hour.
