Foi plantada em 1996 por Peter Lamb, amigo de Tim e Darina. H\u00e1 muito que Peter sonhava em criar um labirinto celta, inspirado nos padr\u00f5es intrincados e abstratos encontrados nos manuscritos da Idade de Ouro da Irlanda, como o Livro de Kells e Durrow. No entanto, ele n\u00e3o tinha espa\u00e7o suficiente para seu grande projeto. Felizmente, Darina, que tamb\u00e9m pensava em plantar um labirinto desde 1992, adotou o seu esquema. Cada se\u00e7\u00e3o teve que ser meticulosamente medida para garantir que cada teixo estivesse precisamente no lugar, mantendo a integridade do quebra-cabe\u00e7a. Demorou v\u00e1rios anos para o labirinto atingir a maturidade.
