Chengcing Lake is located in Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It is the largest artificial lake in Kaohsiung and is known as the “West Lake of Taiwan.” The lake area is divided into three main sections — water source, scenic, and recreational — and features many well-known attractions such as the Nine-Turn Bridge and the Zhongxing Tower. The Love Maze in the park is Taiwan’s largest ecological maze garden and won the 2022 Landscape Architecture Award. From above, it forms the shape of two mandarin ducks with their hearts connected. The maze garden also features picnic areas where parents and children can rest and enjoy meals on the spacious green lawns, experiencing the beauty of nature together. Next to the picnic area are traditional slide rides where children can play to their hearts’ content.
The Love Maze is not only a fun place to visit but also offers ecological education, allowing children to connect with nature while playing. It has become one of the most popular family tourist destinations in Taiwan, attracting many families who come to play and take photos.
